What Is SMS Verification?

SMS verification is a check where an app sends a one-time code by text message to a phone number and asks you to type it back. It proves that a real person controls the number, so apps use it to stop automated sign-ups, to protect logins from new devices and to confirm changes such as a new password or a payout address.
Receiving SMS online means the number belongs to a service like SNSVerify instead of a SIM card in your pocket. You enter that number in the app, the app sends its code, and the text appears on our website. Your personal number never reaches the app, its marketing lists or the people you deal with on a marketplace.
How an SNSVerify number works
Every purchase is one activation: one app, one country and one mobile number, open for 20 minutes. The number is reserved for that app during the window, the code is read for you, and the activation closes by itself. If the app never sends an SMS, the full price returns to your credit at the end of the window.

Why a Verification Code Might Not Arrive
Most missing codes come from one of a few small details. Check these before asking the app again.
The app called instead of texting
Some apps offer a voice call or an in-app prompt first. Choose the SMS or text message option so the code reaches your inbox.
An extra 0 after the country code
UK, Dutch and German numbers drop the leading 0 in international format. Type +44 7..., +31 6... or +49 1..., exactly as shown in your console.
Too many resend requests
Asking for a new code again and again can make an app pause sending. Wait for the app's own timer, then ask once.
The wrong country in the app
The country picked in the app must match the number. A UK number entered under United States will not receive the SMS.
The app needs a local number
Local services such as Kleinanzeigen or OfferUp expect a number from their own country. Pick that country on the app page.
The window ended
Each number is open for 20 minutes. If the code was not sent in time, the price returns to your credit and you can buy a new number.

What happens if no code arrives?
If no SMS arrives within 20 minutes, the activation closes by itself and the full price goes back to your credit. You can also cancel any time before a code arrives and get the full price back at once.
Can I get a second code on the same number?
Yes. After the first code arrives you can press Another code and ask the app to send again; every SMS that reaches the number inside the 20 minutes is shown, at no extra cost.
Why might a code not arrive?
The most common reasons are choosing the voice call option instead of SMS, typing the number with an extra 0 after the country code, or asking for a new code several times in a row. Check the format, choose SMS, wait for the app's timer, and if nothing comes the price is refunded.
